In accordance with the requirements of Ark. Code Ann. § 7-5-202(a)(1-6),PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the 2023 Annual School Election will be held on
Tuesday May 9, 2023.

39.2 Mill School Tax
The total tax rate proposed above includes the uniform rate of tax (the "Statewide Uniform Rate") to be collected on all taxable property in the State and remitted to the State Treasurer pursuant to Amendment No. 74 to the Arkansas Constitution to be used solely for maintenance and operation of schools in the State. As provided in
Amendment No. 74, the Statewide Uniform Rate replaces a portion of the existing rate of tax levied by this School District and available for maintenance and operations of schools in this District. The total proposed school tax levy of 39.2 mills includes 25.0 mills specifically voted for general maintenance and operation and 14.2 mills voted for
debt service previously voted as a continuing levy pledged for the retirement of existing bonded indebtedness. The surplus revenues produced each year by debt service millage may be used by the District for other school purposes.
The total proposed school tax levy of 39.2 mills represents the same rate presently being collected.

Lead Hill School District Millage
39.0 Mill School Tax

38.1 Mill School Tax
The total tax rate proposed above includes the uniform rate of tax (the "Statewide Uniform Rate") to be collected on all taxable property in the State and remitted to the State Treasurer pursuant to Amendment No. 74 to the Arkansas Constitution to be used solely for maintenance and operation of schools in the State. As provided in Amendment No. 74, the Statewide Uniform Rate replaces a portion of the existing rate of tax levied by this School District and available for maintenance and operations of schools in this District. The total proposed school tax levy of 38.1 mills includes 25.0 mills specifically voted for general maintenance and operation and 13.1 mills voted for debt service previously voted as a continuing levy pledged for the retirement of existing bonded indebtedness. The surplus revenues produced each year by debt service millage may be used by the District for other school purposes.
The total proposed school tax levy of 38.1 mills represents the same rate presently being collected.

Bergman School District Millage
32.0 Mill School Tax
The total tax rate proposed above includes the uniform rate of tax (the "Statewide Uniform Rate") to be collected on all taxable property in the State and remitted to the State Treasurer pursuant to Amendment No. 74 to the Arkansas Constitution to be used solely for maintenance and operation of schools in the State. As provided in Amendment No. 74, the Statewide Uniform Rate replaces a portion of the existing rate of tax levied by this School District and available for maintenance and operations of schools in this District. The total proposed school tax levy of 32.0 mills includes 25.0 mills specifically voted for general maintenance and operation and 7.0 mills voted for debt service previously voted as a continuing levy pledged for the retirement of existing bonded indebtedness. The surplus revenues produced each year by debt service millage may be used by the District for other school purposes.
The total proposed school tax levy of 32.0 mills represents the same rate presently being collected.

In Accordance with §6-14-102(c) the districts of Alpena and Valley Springs will hold their election by candidate vote only.
The Lead Hill and Omaha Districts will hold their election by absentee and early vote only. No election day poll sites.
On Election Day the polls will open at 7:30 a.m. and will close at 7:30 p.m. at the following polling places:
Bergman City Hall and the Boone County Election Center for the Bergman and Harrison School Districts.
Early Voting will be held at the Boone County Election Center. Physical Address: 414 W Central Ave. Harrison Ar. 72601
Voting Hours: Tuesday May 2 to Friday May 5 and Monday May 8th. From 8am to 4:30 pm.
Processing, Canvassing & Counting of absentee ballots may begin on Tuesday May 2nd starting at 1pm and continue daily if needed at the Boone County Election Center.
The election results will be released at the Boone County Election Center starting at 7:30pm on May 9, 2023.
In accordance with the requirements of Ark. Code Ann. 7-5-202(b), The notice of election workers will be posted as of April 24th and remain posted till May 9th at the County Clerk's office in the Courthouse on the square, room 201 and the front doors of the Election Center.
Any person wishing to file an objection with the County Board of Election Commissioners to disallow any poll worker who is a spouse or related to the 2nd degree of consanguinity to any candidate on the ballot, may do so by writing a written statement requesting the poll worker be disallowed based on your reason, include the name of the poll worker, and relation to the candidate, the name of the candidate, your name and contact information including address and phone. The statement can be turned in at the Election Center at 414 W. Central within 10 days from the posting
